The practice area
Mr. Ding's main practice areas are merger and acquisitions, foreign direct investment, handling of non-performing assets of banks and real estate investment. He is involved in both litigation and non-litigation practices.
Mr. Ding has rich practical experience, and possesses professional expertise in corporate finance and management. He provides professional legal services to many major company merger and acquisition projects (M&A), including M&A involving foreign investment and M&A between local companies. The most representative case is providing full legal services to an M&A project of a company costing 2 billion RMB. He has also provided legal services in acquiring non-performing financial assets for a famous international financial institution in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Shijiazhuang, which involve an aggregate amount exceeding 20 billion yuan RMB.
Mr. Ding joined Guo & Partners in 2002. Prior to that, he worked in the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation for several years. He contributed to many enactments of laws and regulations on administering import and export of goods and on China's processing trade.
Mr. Ding obtained his bachelor degree in Economics from International Trade Department of Xiamen University in 1995, got his J.M degree from the University of International Business & Economics in 2002, and was awarded the Diploma in Chinese Financing & Accounting from ACCA (The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) in 1999. He passed the Chinese Bar Examination in 2000 and passed the "Taxation law", "Economic law" and "Accounting" Examinations of Chinese Certified Public Accountant in 2002. Mr. Ding is fluent in English.
