The practice area
Jane Jing's practice covers corporate, foreign-related investment, construction, engineering and real estate, foreign-related litigation and arbitration.
Jane has been practicing for over 15 years, specializing in helping foreign companies, organizations and individuals to establish joint ventures, wholly foreign owned enterprises, chain stores or representative offices in PRC, as well as providing full legal services following the setting up, including advising on contracts, licenses, mergers and acquisitions, labor issues, IP rights protection, and dispute resolutions. The companies for which she has acted represent the construction and engineering, real-estate, oil, mining, telecommunications, education and training, pharmaceuticals and information technology industries. She has also provided legal services for various kinds of organizations and governmental departments including the Air Force of China.
Jane is experienced in providing legal services for large construction and engineering projects, from bidding, contract negotiation to dispute resolution. She has worked on many famous projects in China including Hubei E' huang Yangtze River Bridge, Yichang Yangtze River Highway Bridge, Hunan Xianglei speedway, Zhejiang Dongtou deep-sea bridge. She has also provided services for hotels and real estates invested by foreign investors, including Chengdu Shangri-la Hotel and Office Tower, Lhasa Shangri-la Hotel and many high-class residential projects.
Jane speaks fluent English. She has been invited to talk on Chinese construction law and company law for many foreign companies and law firms. She has published legal essays both in Chinese and English.
Jane joined in Guo & Partners as a partner in 2010. Before that she practiced as a partner in Beijing Junyang Law Firm. From 2009 to 2010, she has worked at TaylorWessing and 39 Essex Chambers in London as part of the Lord Chancellor's Training Scheme organized by UK's Ministry of Justice, Law Society and Bar Association.
In 1999 Jane obtained her LL.B. from the Southwest University of Political Science and Law in China, and in 2002 obtained her LL.M. from the University of Leeds in UK. In 2009 and 2010, she has studied British and EU law in the University of London.
